Mallory Hagan

It was with excitement & a little bit of surprise that 21 year-old Mallory Hagan made her mark in Monument City. On
March 28, 2010, Hagan wowed judges and audience alike at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing
Arts to become the next Miss Brooklyn to get her chance at the coveted crown of Miss New
York. “I absolutely did not expect to win,”
said Hagan, “but I am thrilled to pieces that I get to spend the next year representing this amazing borough!”
A Bed-Stuy resident for almost two years, Mallory is humbled by her acceptance in the borough of kings. “I
moved to NY in October 2008 with less than a grand in my pocket, a BIG suitcase &…a lot of hope,” says Hagan,
who hails from Opelika, Alabama.
Formerly a student at Auburn University,
Mallory decided to follow her dreams & give the big city a try. She quickly found her place in Brooklyn.
While this was Hagan’s first attempt at a NY local title; she previously won talent awards and placed
as a runner-up in the Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen & Miss Alabama Scholarship Competitions.

in Psychology.
